Pet Services

Coping with the loss of a pet is difficult. We understand how deeply it can affect you and your family. A small memorial service for your departed animal can be a healing and cathartic act, and we can help you give your beloved pet the dignified farewell and attention that he or she deserves.

Burial

We can help you find the ideal final resting place for your beloved pet in a nearby pet cemetery.

Cremation

  • PRIVATE
Individual — or private — cremation is a process where only one pet is present in the cremation chamber, similar to the process used for human cremations. After cremation, we remove your pet's cremated remains from the chamber and return them to you in an urn of your choice.
  • PARTITIONED
Partitioned cremation means that your pet shares space in the cremation chamber with other pets. Because each pet is placed in a designated area and clearly identified with a stainless steel ID tag, we're able to ensure that you'll receive the cremated remains of only your pet. The cremated remains will be returned to you in an urn of your choice.
  • COMMUNAL
Communal cremation is for pet owners who do not wish to keep their pet's cremated remains, but would still like to care for their pet's remains in a dignified and loving way. In a communal cremation, multiple pets are cremated. The cremated remains are then spread on private land by one of our staff members.

Memorial Items

Prior to burial or cremation, we can create keepsakes for you to remember your pet for years to come. This includes ink paw prints, clay paw prints, or keepsakes that include locks of fur or feathers. Ask our staff for more details on what we offer.

"Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them."

— John Grogan, Marley and Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog

Decisions Regarding Your Pet

In addition to the grief, the death of a pet brings with it a difficult decision - how to handle your pet's remains. Before making any decisions, consider your thoughts and feelings about death and how to honor the memory of your beloved pet. Whether you choose burial or cremation, it is important to remember that this is not only the final act of love but also an important means of closure. And no matter what option you select, it is important that your pet's remains are treated with dignity and care.

Home Burial Burying your pet at home keeps it close and gives you the opportunity to create a permanent memorial.

Professional Cremation If you would like to keep your pet's remains in an urn, cremation may be a better alternative. You can keep your pet at home without the concern of a home burial or scatter your pet's cremains rather than preserve them.

Memorialization Whether you choose burial or cremation, you must also decide how you want to honor your pet's life. Whether it is an informal gathering or an elaborate service, it is important to conduct some type of ceremony to provide you with closure.

No one wants to contemplate the death of pet. But taking this time now will help you not only honor the life of your beloved pet but also help you heal. Please contact us to help you make these important decisions.
